Board Certification in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback  - Basic Information

This certification is for health care professionals using biofeedback and behavioral interventions to treat elimination disorders and pelvic pain.

Certification is open to licensed professionals from psychology, medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician’s assistant who hold a degree from a regionally accredited academic institution.  "Regionally accredited academic institution” refers to an Accredited Institution of Postsecondary Education as determined by the American Council on Education.

This program has two paths for certification: 

Entry Level Certification is for the professional who wants to add this modality to their practice or who may have some experience using biofeedback to treat these disorders but would like to further enhance their knowledge and clinical skills. 

Certification by Prior Experience is for the professional who has been active in the field and can demonstrate their education and training as well as at least 2,000 relevant client hours.
