What is Progressive Certification?

The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) has long recognized that maintaining and improving competency in our rapidly developing field requires lifelong continuing education and training. BCIA leadership has wanted to acknowledge the increasing expertise acquired by our certificants through study and experience, as well as the dedication, commitment, and time devoted to the recertification process. Thus in 1996 the BCIA Board voted to initiate a program of Progressive Certification which recognizes a professional’s ongoing commitment to maintaining BCIA Certification.
