A. Description of Program: Nature is full of repeating patterns. This is called a fractal. When we use fractals to study one thing, such as the human brain compared to the hive mind of bees, or even the bee brain itself, it can give us information we may have overlooked. This talk will go over several studies that illustrate this fractal pattern, focusing primarily on how bees use the alpha wave to navigate, which can help us to better understand how people may be using the alpha wave to navigate.
