Presented by Leslie Sherlin, PhD & Robert E. Longo, LPC
Both sessi ons must be completed for CE credits
Course Des cription:
The focus of this webinar is to go beyond th e basics of understanding the certification boards’ and professional organi zations’ code of conduct with an emphasis on Scope of Practice. It is aimed at a deeper dive into models of ethical theories and to provide attendees with foundational knowledge of the primary theories and the ability to appl y professional ethics models and standards of practice as they apply to the helping professions and specifically those providing peripheral biofeedbac k, neuromodulation and qEEG services.
Not only will this workshop provide deeper insight into the theoreti cal, through case examples and real world examples the application of theor y will be clearly demonstrated such that the attendee can critically evalua te the uniqueness of their own scenarios in real time. Many clinicians and practitioners of qEEG and Neuromodulation are board certified in Neurofeedb ack by BCIA and must attend training in ethics and standards of practice fo r renewal of their BCIA certification as well as individual license require ments per state regulations. This workshop is designed to fulfill those req uirements and will address scope of practice concerns that face neuromodula tion service providers.
