Neurodynamics of Micro Network Analysis 2-part Webinar

Part 1: Friday, March 31, 2023

Part 2: Friday, April 7, 2023

Presented by Dr. Joel Lubar and Dr. Sal Barba

The session will be divided into two parts. The first part will include a theoretical construct of a new vision for a model that will be presented as Neurodynamic Therapy. This new model, developed by Dr. Joel Lubar and Dr. Sal Barba will be presented in this webinar.

The second part of the webinar will illustrate our clinical cases to show how we integrate psychotherapeutic modalities with the results from multi-channel training on a session-to-session basis.

  • A definition of Neurodynamic Therapy
  • Discussion of new measures relevant for understanding the relationship between the QEEG and the client’s symptomatology, including effective connectivity, phase shift phase lock, and phase slope index. These are new measures of network dynamics that illustrate the changes from protocol impact further correlated with the psychodynamic shifts in the client’s clinical symptomatology.
  • There will be session graphs to show how to move into a therapeutic process. Evaluation of the graphs will help to determine how to work psychotherapeutically with the psychodynamics of the client’s cognitive and somatic experiences.
  • How to support the client to develop insight on how to develop strategies for the transference of training from their interaction with the training system into their daily life. Furthermore, the live training experience may require a pause to support the clinician and the client to work with the client’s experiences in relationship to what they may be thinking, feeling or visualizing during their training session that could be undermining their movement toward positive change.
  • Discussion of how to phase out the training when therapeutic goals have been attained, and development of strategies for follow up baselines and training sessions when needed.
